Nuong comes to Room to Read with more than 20 years of experience. She has a broad range of expertise including strategic planning, partnership development, program management and monitoring and evaluation in various settings including the private sector, multilateral development banks and NGOs. She has proven experience in designing and leading strategic scale initiatives and integrating demonstrated program solutions into the national education system, specifically in the areas of literacy development, road safety education and behavior change.
Prior to joining Room to Read, Nuong worked at the AIP Foundation and advocated for road safety at international, regional and national forums. Her portfolio includes integrated campaigns with proven results of improving road safety environment and skills for children and youth through advocacy, capacity building, school-based education, and targeted community interventions in Vietnam and other Asian countries. Nuong holds a Master of Assessment and Evaluation degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia and gains valuable experience from various work assignments in the US and Australia.
